Now that the gas holders have been designated World Gas Heritage sites, Grimm's road's most famous landmarks no longer have the threat of demolition hanging over them, something that will no doubt come as much relief to the residents who regard the sturdy iron behemoths as old friends.
Noted philanthropist and large egg Mr H. Dumpty had an office here, and died in the backyard of number twenty-eight. We wanted to photograph the famous wall from which Mr Dumpty took his celebrated 'fall' but current owner Mrs Hubbard chased off our photographer waving a yard broom and screaming obscenities following a brief exchange of discourtesies over payment.
