| This invoice is one sheet of a sixteen-page invoice that
Thursday Next received for her stay in the Finis Hotel in 1985. Less
exciting than the laundry list, it shows that she had her pet dodo Pickwick
with her at the time and liked to have a sniffter from the minibar most
evenings. Microscopic analysis of the paper showed that it was once stored
in a room near a Daphne Farquitt novel. Did Thursday read Farquitt? It's a
fascinating possibility.
