Submitted by Madeleine Arnett: In June, 2008, I visited the "Cans Festival", an informal but legal graffiti show featuring works by artists from around the world. The gallery for the graffiti exhibition was a railway tunnel at Waterloo Station in London, UK. The show's name is a play on the "Cannes Festival", the extravagant film festival which was on at the same time in the French Riviera. Of the thirty or so photos I captured of the amazing street art, these two might be of interest to you and your readers. They are of graffiti art by MBW who has painted a barcode version of "Britney Spears Kissing Madonna". The kiss seen on MTV's 20th annual Video Music Awards made headlines.
