The Coded Zebra Most unusual of the three different types of zebra in that its barcode is separate from the stripes instead of being included in them. Debating societies have long argued that this might suggest that at one time no animals had barcodes, and that the Coded Zebra was given a barcode in the usual manner before it was realised that the design might be incorporated into the creature's natural hide.
Very shy, and frequently shunned by the other zebras. Usually found in Northern climates, especially Yellow Sector North. Has been raced, but without success. Brays like a donkey and is sticky to the touch.
