Thursday Next Extreme: Holly

Dear Mr. Fforde--

I am sorry to see so few entries for the 2010 Nextreme competition. Perhaps the popularity of those portable book-reading gizmos has made it less likely that a reader will actually take a JF volume into the treacherous wilderness. Anyway, I took one with me.

Colorado was named for its colorful river, not for Great Sand Dunes National Park, where the book I carried, Shades of Grey, was the most colorful thing around.
